Any program or course study for an individual to become a pharmacy technician contains different contents based on the curriculum set by the school in line with the education standards set by the state. The curriculum for pharmacy technician program simply begins with a content of the historical overview of the pharmacy industry. The overview contains the organizations associated with pharmacy and how the industry has developed from time to time. Next is the introduction to a community pharmacy which covers past cases of commercial retail outlets, fundamental procedures acquired when processing prescriptions and other processes done inside a retail outlet. Other contents under this curriculum include the physical set-up for a pharmacy, inventory, privacy issues, computer applications and safety measures.
