A long walk together, around the beautiful Emerald lakes

I drove down to the mountain from Taupo last week and I took my dog for an hour walk around Lake Rotopounamu so she could stretch her old legs and enjoy the bush area. She is a bit of an old slow thing but she certainly perks up and runs off when she is excited at the beginning of walks and of course, she usually is puffing at the end. I noticed in the last fifteen minutes of our journey that she was limping and by the time we got to our car, she could hardly move and I had to pick her up and actually put her in the car. Straight away I called the turangi vets and I asked if I could pop in on my way back to Taupo to have my dog’s leg looked at and they were most accommodating.
