Many people think that losing weight is the answer to how to lower cholesterol levels. This can be true in some cases, although there are many cases where people are not overweight but still have high cholesterol. For the most part, however, you can do wonders to lower your cholesterol by losing weight. If you are overweight, you can cut out all the fat laden foods that you are eating that contribute to high cholesterol. You can also start an exercise program and begin to eat more fish as well as fresh vegetables that will not only help you with your weight loss, but will also help you lower your cholesterol. While not all high cholesterol cases are due to obesity, maintaining a healthy weight can help lower your cholesterol levels in your blood.
